- What kind of fiction do you write or would you like to write?
- I would like to write darkly humorous science fiction. Dystopia is my primary topic of interest, and I'm inspired by the classics such as Fahrenheit 451, Brave New World, and 1984 -- though I acknowledge that the style is dated.
- Publishing credits?
- I've written for a few local magazines and newspapers in Baton Rouge. For a small magazine, I am a relationship columnist and have self-published a book, entitled "In Love and College," that supplements the weekly column.
- Are you working on something now?
- I'm currently working on a humorous, dystopian science fiction novel using the Marshall Plan. I've never finished a novel, and I'm determined to finish this one.
- Do you have any writing goals/dreams?
- My dream is to be a bestselling novelist, but my goal is to have at least one novel published before I die.

AAGGHHH... I told myself I would do this!
Long story short, it's been a month since I've even looked at my one-eighth of a finished first draft. Work, has gotten in the way mostly. I've been on a big project since mid-June, which has a deadline of August 7. I tell myself once I'm back on my normal schedule and not spending 60 hours a week editing technical information for this proposal, I'll start up again.

Section 1: Written! (Critiques are appreciated)
And that means I've finished the first chapter of my novel! It took me four days of trying to find time, but I did it.
I'm calling the book "Upgrade" unless and until I think of something better. It's a soft science-fiction novel, in the darkly humorous subgenre, about a tech journalist who inadvertently starts a war when he tries to pay off a blackmailer.
